Rules
The RULES !
Please make sure to read carefully through the rules before applying. These rules are to help the game run smoothly and are not meant to stifle anything. We try to allow a lot of freedom for creativity.
1) To sign up, please do the following -
A) Create your characters account. You will need a journal for just this game. Please, do not share the journal meant for this game with another game.
B) Post your application
C) Run the friend all button and join up the communities and all that. After you have been accepted
- Please, do not friend anything until after you have been accepted. Thanks!
- Also, it would be a great idea to join the plotting portal to help out with the direction of the RPG and the PM system is excellent there.
2) Save the drama for off-line, please. What is IC should stay IC and should not travel to OOC. We want to have fun here, so we do not allow - flaming, bashing or harassment of any kind. If there is a serious issue, talk to the admins/mods.
3) Please, make sure your characters are well-rounded. Not everyone is extremely smart, overly ruthless or extremely rich. Please, no mary-sues or drama kings or queens. The only subject bans we really have - incest, cannibalism, violence towards children, pedophilia.
- But we do have varying sexualities, just keep it realistic and please do create straight characters as well. This isn't a slash only site! But it is welcomed.
- Keep in mind that if you have a big plot idea, you will need to run it by the admins/mods first before you do it. This can include - pregnancies, deaths, disorders, divorces, marriages - so on. Also, do not godmod unless you have permission!
4) We run in real time here. If it is the 16th in real life, it will be the 16th on the site as well. The only thing different is the months.
- For posting, try to have at least 1 paragraph. We do not allow one-few liners because they are too hard to post to.
5) Roleplaying Point of View is third person past tense. We go by storybook style. NC-17 material can be posted, just make sure you are of age and put up proper warnings. We allow threading and logs. But if you post logs make sure to make it like a story and take out the usernames. Your responses will still need to meet the requirements!

Who: All characters involved
Where: The location the rp takes place
When: The date - month, day, year [make sure to put BACKDATE if it is, try not to backdate more than a week of the current RP week]
Summary: What the rp is about
Rating & Warnings: G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17 & include warnings like - violence, swearing, sex, etc
Type: Member thread, Site thread, Event thread, Communication. You will only do Member thread or Communication, unless the creators ask you to post the other two. :]
Completion: In-progress, Placeholder, Complete
Here is the coding without all the other text :
After this Header, you put the LJ-cut. This LJ-cut cuts the text so it doesn't display on the front page. All you will see is the LJ-cut text. Make sure to cut all your roleplays. And add in the 'complete' tag when you finish up with your thread.
7) Backdating and placeholders are both allowed. If your thread takes place before the actual current date, make sure to put - backdate before the date. You can post a placeholder to save the date for that thread - just make sure to go back and actually use it! Also, friends lock a placeholder, please. Also, ensure you have all the proper tags when you post! You will need your characters names, the dates and any other necessary tags.
8) Communication can be through - internet, cell, text, letters and so on. Just please use proper English. No netspeak or anything.

9) Here are how the journals work on our site - every character owns a journal, regardless of where they are. On the journals you can have - public entries, private entries and can have certain parts only viewable to certain characters.
10) Other Journal things are - strikethroughs cannot be read because they are thought of as scratch outs, unless otherwise stated. Please, do not use actions or smiles when posting or replying either [*pushes Ron, :P]
11) Without activeness, sites will die, simple as that. So, please keep active! We would love a thread every two weeks per character. But we won't be overly strict about it since we understand real life gets in the way. But if you are going weeks without posting anything, we will have an issue. You can have a hiatus up to 4 weeks but we may need to NPC your character if you have a major canon. After all, we have to keep the plot moving. However, if you want to leave the game, please have curtsy to tell us. Thanks!
12) We will hold activity checks at least once a month to see who is sticking with us and all that.
13) When deciding on a PB for your character, please keep it realistic. Just do not use - any myspace, DA, scene queens/kings, porn stars or anything related. The suicide girls fall in the ban category because they have asked that their images not be used.
15) Keep in mind that actions have consequences. If your character is injured, you will need to play out the healing of the character. This goes for everything and please remember to ask us before you do big plots, especially with major characters as it may interfere with what we already have in mind for the plot. But we do love suggestions, so feel free to offer them anytime!
16) Please, have a chat program, so that we can all talk together. Meebo is fantastic if you do not want to download something. Most of us have YIM and AIM.
17) All journal entries are FIRST PERSON and need to be public. It helps people who are looking at the site and deciding whether to join! All logs/threads will need to be posted on![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif)
lie_rpg and will need to be written in THIRD PERSON. The same goes for the history community - lie_history. Lastly, all OOC things - ideas, wanted, chatting, misc fun - will need to be posted on our - lie_fan. All sign ups and most world-building details go on - lie_details. plotting portal
